Canyon’s Ultimate CF EVO was “more than just a bike” — an engineering statement — and the launch site had to feel the same. At Berlin studio MoreSleep, working with Canyon’s 3D design team, we built a scroll-driven film: an HTML5 canvas video timeline that scrubbed frame-by-frame as you scrolled, with feature callouts and technical specs revealing themselves in sync.
Two details I’m still fond of: the language selector ran on React Context and switched the entire experience instantly, no reload — unremarkable now, satisfying in 2016 — and rather than degrade the canvas experience on phones, we shipped a deliberately simplified static version, honest about what mobile hardware of the day could sustain.
The site earned an Awwwards Honorable Mention in February 2017. It remains my reference for craft: performance work, animation timing and restraint in service of a brand moment.
